Linda Leen - Who's In Charge?
A surreal story with two components – a performance with musicians who openly embody a conscious dualism. And a visual story about venturing to meet the alien, unfamiliar, to make it a part of oneself. Which, in turn, leads to the realization of one's own internal dualism. This one was seriously screwed by unexpected change in weather and swine fever epidemic - our plan was to film in flooded forest and to have a truffle pig as Linda's pet. But then winter came + all pigs had to stay quarantined.

"Night. Linda stands in a glass-walled interior high above the city. Far on the horizon, she sees a meteorite—a superstar—falling. Dressed in a rabbit-fur coat, Linda sets off in search of the superstar. She moves through a flooded forest, its tangled branches lit by the beam of her mega-flashlight. A truffle pig on a leash leads the way—a queen in exile and her bundle of instincts, a creature guided by scent. The forest bears signs of the unknown. Sugar and diamond crystals embedded in tree bark, their taste revealed only at the tip of the tongue. Elsewhere, a stream of milk flows, carrying a black live beluga. Linda scoops up a handful of caviar from the current. She doesn’t recognize what it is, lets fish eggs slip through her fingers. The truffle pig’s instincts urge them forward. They reach their destination. The morning light reveals a patch of melted earth, still warm. The pig digs. Together, they unearth an object the size of a heart. Like a black truffle, veined with an inner web of light. Something alien. Luxurious. Delicious. The object has two sides. Two natures. With a sensual gesture, Linda slides her fingers beneath her skin, between her ribs, and tucks the alien thing inside. She feels satisfaction."
