Stuck In Stikine [adventure documentary]

Five men from Latvia – 2 bussinessmen, an experienced traveller, a cameraman and their tour guide head out to tame the fastest flowing river in North America – Stikine. But unexpected winter sets in, placing them in a situaltion that could cost them their lives. Despite locals’ advice, men decide to press on, leading them to dramatic events, that were not supposed to happen.

As far as canoe trips go - this is probably the coolest! This film has insired some to become adventurers, but others - to never set foot in wilderness ever! For me it was the first attempt to tell a feature lenght story. The raw material, I must admit, is pure gold, documenting once-in-a-lifetime chain of events in frozen landscape of British Columbia.
